Welcome to RAGReady. By using our document conversion service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

RAGReady provides a document conversion service that transforms PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and HTML files into clean, LLM-optimized markdown format. Our service operates on a pay-per-use credit system.

2. Usage Terms

2.1 Credit System

• Free Tier: 5 free conversions per day, resetting daily at UTC midnight
• Paid Credits: Purchase additional credits that never expire
• Cost: One credit per document conversion
• Credits are account-specific and non-transferable

2.2 File Requirements

• Maximum File Size: 30MB per file across all tiers
• Supported Formats: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, HTML
• Files must be valid and non-corrupted

3. Refund Policy

• Failed Conversions: Automatic refund of credits for conversions that fail due to technical errors on our end
• Manual Requests: Refund requests can be submitted to contact@ragready.app
• Processing Time: 3-5 business days for manual refund requests
• Refunds are issued as account credits, not monetary refunds, unless required by law

4. Privacy & Data Handling

• In-Memory Processing: Documents are processed entirely in RAM and never written to disk
• Zero Storage: Documents are permanently deleted as soon as the conversion is complete
• No Content Retention: We do not retain, log, or store the contents of your documents
• Minimal Metadata: We only store conversion metadata (file size, format, timestamp) for billing purposes

5. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use RAGReady to process or convert:

• Illegal content or materials that violate applicable laws
• Malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Copyrighted or confidential materials without proper authorization
• Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Documents containing personal information of others without consent

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

RAGReady is provided on an "as-is" basis. We make no warranties regarding:

• Conversion Accuracy: While we strive for high-quality conversions, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for all documents
• Service Availability: We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Data Loss: Users should maintain backups of original documents

Important: Always review converted output before using it in production environments. We are not liable for any damages resulting from conversion inaccuracies or service interruptions.

7. Payment Terms

• Payment Processor: All payments are securely processed through Stripe
• Pricing: Current pricing is displayed on our website and may be updated with notice
• Billing: Credits are applied immediately upon successful payment
• Security: We do not store your payment information; Stripe handles all payment data

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Continued use of RAGReady after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.
